Overview
About this procedure.
Pelvic-organ prolapse is common, especially after childbirth and around the menopause. A pessary is a soft, flexible device that sits inside the vagina and supports the pelvic organs. For many patients, it is an excellent alternative to surgery, or a way of getting comfortable while a surgical plan is made.
Pessaries come in many shapes and sizes. Mr Orabi will spend time finding the right fit and showing you how to look after it.
